Today is the day we have been waiting to share this.
Praia BJJ is moving to a brand-new location near the harbor in Costa Mesa, and we could not be more
excited about what this means for our community. Our new home opens in June 2026. Here is everything.
The New Address
3010 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92626
The new location is significantly bigger, more centrally accessible for Orange County, and designed from
the ground up to serve the Praia BJJ community as it continues to grow.
Why We Are Moving
The honest answer: we outgrew our current home. The Costa Mesa community responded to what we are
building here, and that is a wonderful problem to have.
The Victoria Street location has been an incredible home for Praia BJJ. We built something genuinely real
there, hundreds of kids and adults who trained, grew, competed, and became part of something larger
than themselves. We are proud of every class taught and every student developed on that mat.
But growing communities need growing spaces. The harbor area gives us the room, the location, and the
infrastructure to become the best martial arts facility in Orange County.
What the New Space Offers
Significantly more mat space. Enough to run simultaneous programs without any interference, and room
to continue growing without ever compromising the quality of what happens on the mat.
Better overall facilities. Improved changing areas, better parking access, and an environment designed
specifically for the kind of training we provide.A harbor community location that fits who we are. Praia means beach in Portuguese. Our name was not
chosen arbitrarily. The harbor area embodies the connection between the Orange County ocean culture
and the Brazilian art of Jiu-Jitsu that we have always stood for.
What This Means for Current Members
Your membership continues without any interruption. Your rates do not change. Your coaches, your
training partners, and the culture you joined are all coming with us to the harbor.
We will be providing a full transition timeline and hosting an open house at the new location before the
doors officially open for regular classes. Every current member will hear from us directly.
What This Means for New Students
If you have been thinking about starting Jiu-Jitsu, for yourself or for your child, there has never been a
better time to join Praia BJJ. Our current Costa Mesa location is open and fully operational through the
end of May. In June, you will have the opportunity to train in one of the finest martial arts facilities in
Orange County.
The harbor location will serve students from Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Irvine, and
all of Orange County. If location has been a consideration, that barrier is about to become much smaller.
A Message from PROFESSOR Thiago
This move represents everything Praia BJJ is about. We started with a mission to teach Jiu-Jitsu the right
way and to build a genuine community around it. That mission does not change. What changes is the
space we get to do it in. I am proud of what our students built on Victoria Street, and I am incredibly
excited about what we are going to build together at our new harbor home. See you there.
