Your Questions Answered: Everything About Praia BJJ's New Harbor Location.

Two days ago we announced that Praia BJJ is moving to a new harbor location in Costa Mesa this July.

The response from our community has been incredible, and with that response came a lot of great

questions. Here are the honest answers to everything we are hearing.

When exactly does the new location open?

Our target opening for the new harbor location is July 2026. We will announce the exact date along with

open house details as soon as the final timeline is confirmed. Current members will be notified directly

before the public announcement goes out.

Will my membership rates change?

No. Current member rates are locked in. Your membership transitions to the new location with no change

to what you pay. This is our commitment to the people who have been part of building Praia BJJ.

What happens to the Victoria Street location?

Victoria Street continues operating at full capacity through the end of May. Our transition to the harbor

location happens in June. There is no gap in your ability to train.

Is the new location actually bigger?

Yes, meaningfully bigger. More mat space, more capacity for simultaneous programs, and significantly

better overall facilities. This was a primary driver of our decision. We needed room to grow the programs

and the community without ever crowding the training experience.

Should I wait for the new location, or start training now?

Start now. The coaching, the curriculum, and the community are all here right now on Victoria Street.

Every class between now and June makes you better at Jiu-Jitsu. There is no strategic advantage to

waiting, and every week you wait is a week you could have been training and improving.Will the same coaches be at the new location?

Yes. Coach Thiago, our full coaching staff, and the entire Praia BJJ team are making the move together.

The community that exists on the current mat is coming with us to the harbor.

Will the new location be easier to reach from Newport Beach or Huntington Beach?

For most people coming from Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, and the surrounding harbor area, yes.

The new location is designed to be more centrally accessible for the broader Orange County community

we serve. Our new address is 3010 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.

Will there be an open house?

Yes. We are planning an open house at the new harbor location before we officially open for regular

classes. This is specifically for current members and prospective students to come see the space, meet

the team, and get excited about what we are building. Details will be announced on social media and right

here on the blog.
